Location:- On the Troia Peninsula 42 km South of Lisbon

Designed by Robert Trent Jones senior in 1981, Troia golf course is located in a natural and attractive setting. Remote, wildly beautiful and very tough, this superb links course is considered one of the best in Europe, and presents a stern test of golfing skill.

Water rarely comes into play at Troia but the bunkers and trouble off the fairway will keep your mind on the course and away from the views out to the sea and across to the mountains.

Troia is a great challenge for the better player and an exciting test for the rest. Sand lines nearly every hole at Troia, as this is a course where accuracy off the tee is a must to score well!

Sam Torrance was the only player that finished under par when he won the Portuguese Open here in 1982. Some of the finest links holes can be found at Troia
